Surprise, Surprise, Surprise

Dear Diary, I have a surprise for you, on Monday 30th of April, I received a phone call and you would never guess what that phone call was all about!

Diary I made it into The Sisterhood, But let me take you some months back before unveiling how it all happened.

My dearest Diary in January 2012, as I posted beforehand about the introduction The Sisterhood had, well I decided to take the application form. There were many girls there, waiting in line to take the application form and you would not believe, The Big Sisters had printed out only 80 copies of forms and just as soon as I was in front of the queue, waiting to receive my application form and they finished just like that!

The Big Sisters said they will print out some more that same week and give into the hands of our Pastor's wife, but all of a sudden they came out with some more application forms and I embraced the fact that they did so, because i did not want to leave that room without the form especially since I made such a hard decision to go for it again.

So this was what I did, I asked God to change my silly views of what I think The Sisterhood was about to me, and change it to how He wants me to see it, and for sure he did.

Diary in the time of the interviews I had the same Big sister interviewing me for all the other 3 times I joined the Rush month, and this made me feel oh so embarrassed. Why you may ask because how many times should I try and how many times should I fail before joining?

And again I joined the 4th Rush month, but for me this Rush Month was different than all the others because I gave my all, I prayed for every task at hand including asking God to show me what to wear for my Wednesday beauty task, there were even times I ran out of ideas and I remember a pledge told me that "When you run out of ideas it means you gave your all" and I believed this so much. It came to a point I had to look on YouTube for ideas, and I can say that I went the extra, extra, extra mile.

Diary that week end when I sent off the last of my Rush Month task, My conscience was clear, I can also say there was nothing else I could have done for that last week. When I received the phone call with the results, I had my twin baby brother in my right hand, and if I had jumped any higher he would have slipped out of my hand and when I heard her voice saying I got in, I screamed without letting her finishing the sentence lol... but I finally did it after so many trial and hardwork I can now say I am in The Sisterhood.

Pledge night here I come :)

To be continued...
